His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama’s 81st Birthday!

Dharamshala, 6th July: Yesterday was marked as a jubilant occasion of His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama’s 81st birthday. TWA wishes His Holiness a long life and expresses our deepest gratitude for his immense hardwork on World peace and Tibet cause. We are grateful of Indian citizens and government for their hospitality and support for Tibetans.
A grand celebration was held at Tsukla khang, His Holiness’s main temple in dharamshala. Central Tibetan Administration carried out the festive inviting ITFA President Mr. Ajay Singh Mankotia as a Chief guest. The day was followed by Tibetan cultural dance of three main regions of Tibet (Dotoe, Dhomey and Utsang), schools around dhamaralsa also performed dance and presented songs.
Tibetan Women’s Association (TWA) celebrated the occassion by distributing sweets to various Indian offices, Banks, NGOs and Police stations around dharamshala and also donated clothes to poor Indians.Visited residents of ITFA President Mr. Ajay Singh Mankotia, Prof. Parmananda Sharma, ITFA Executive member Mr. Milap Nehria, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation Councilor Mr. Omkar Singh Nehria and Baghsunath Temple Pujari Ji. This is how we celebrate every year on His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama’s birthday.
The best birthday gift for His Holiness will be “To be Compassionate by heart and think of others before self”. As he said that on his 80th birthday, with that note its our responsibilty to bring his words into action.
