Education & Training

Tenzing Dolma is a Bylakuppe born currently serves as the President of Tibetan Women’s Association Central. She completed her schooling from Central School for Tibetans, Bylakuppe. She is a single mother devoted and determined in dedicating her life in service for the Tibetan community and its people under the guidance of His Holiness the great 14th Dalai Lama. She works hard towards the goal of raising awareness about the critical situation in Tibet and empowering women.

Experiences

  • Participated in a “Peace March” for Panchen Lama in 2005 from Pune to Mumbai and served as a medical assistant at the same time.
  • Served as a Public Relation Officer, treasurer and Secretary of Regional Tibetan Women’s Association from 2008-2011.
  • She was also a member of women security team for Kalachakra initiation in 2012, 2014, 2017.

Recognitions

  • She was a member and honoured with an Award for Youth for Human Rights and Tolerance Onlus Italy for her distinguishes contribution towards our community.
  • President of Regional Tibetan Women’s Association Bylakuppe for six consecutive years (2012-2018).
  • 2018 -2021 elected as an executive in Central Tibetan Women’s Association and served as an outstation.
  • 45 days visit to 25 states in India to meet the Indian leaders and talk about Human Rights in Tibet and Importance of Tibet River.
  • In 2019, Peace March was led under her leadership march from Mysore to Bangalore over 200 members from 5 southern Tibetan Settlements.
