TWA’s Women’s Environment & Development officer discusses fate of Tibetan nomads

Dharamsala, November 22: On Friday November 11 Tenzin Woebum, from the Women’s Environment and Development Desk (WEDD) of TWA joined with Tenzin Norbu, Head of Environment and Development Desk of DIIR, Central Tibetan Administration, to appear on Tibetan language channel VOT to discuss Chinese policies of nomad resettlement across Tibet.

Palden Choetso’s self-immolation video given to Tibetan exile group

Dharamsala, November 22: A video of Tibetan nun Palden Choetso’s self-immolation on November 3 in Tawu, eastern Tibet has been smuggled out of Tibet. In addition footage of protests calling for freedom following her death has also been received by Students for a Free Tibet.
