Tenzing Dolma | President

Tenzing Dolma is a Bylakuppe born currently serves as the President of Tibetan Women’s Association Central. She completed her schooling from Central School for Tibetan, Bylakuppe. She is a single mother devoted and determined in dedicating her life in service for the Tibetan community and its people under the guidance of His Holiness the great 14 th Dalai Lama. She works hard towards the goal of raising awareness about the critical situation in Tibet and empowering women.

– Participated in a “Peace March” for Panchen Lama in 2005 from Pune to Mumbai and served as a medical assistant at the same time.
– Served as a Public Relation Officer, treasurer and Secretary of Regional Tibetan Women’s
Association from 2008-2011.
-she was also a member of women security team for Kalachakra initiation in 2012, 2014, 2017.

– She was a member and honoured with an Award for Youth for Human Rights and Tolerance Onlus Italy for her distinguishes contribution towards our community.
-President of Regional Tibetan Women’s Association Bylakuppe for six consecutive years (2012-2018).
-2018 -2021 elected as an executive in Central Tibetan Women’s Association and served as an
outstation.
– 45 days visit to 25 states in India to meet the Indian leaders and talk about Human Rights in Tibet and Importance of Tibet River.
-In 2019, Peace March was led under her leadership march from Mysore to Bangalore over 200
members from 5 southern Tibetan Settlements.

Tsering Dolma | Vice President

Ms Tsering Dolma completed her primary school from Pathlikul and Higher studies from Central School for Tibetan, Dalhousie. After that, she pursued her career in Teaching and had the privilege to serve as a teacher for over three decades in Lekshedh Tsal School, Lodrick Jampaling Settlement and took up various responsibilities while being a teacher. For her excellent service and completion of 25 years of service in teaching, she was rewarded with a Thangka Painting from Sherig.

She was amongst the pioneer team during the establishment of the regional Tibetan Youth Congress in Lodrick Jampaling and ever since she has been an executive member. She acted as the first ever President of the Regional Tibetan Women’s Association in Lodrick Jampaling from 2009-2012. She was an executive member of the Central Tibetan Women’s Association for two consecutive terms as a Joint Secretary and Vice President respectively from 2012-2018. During the years of 2012, 2014 and 2017 Kalachakra’s initiation she was the head of the women security team. Currently she is the incumbent Vice President of the 13th Tibetan Women’s Association Central for three years. She dedicated more than half of her life for the cause of Tibetan community and feels honored to be a part of as well as to serve for the Tibetan community and its cause. She feels grateful for all the support and will continue her undoubted support and determination for the same.

Kelsang Dolma | General Secretary 

Kalsang Dolma was born in the Capital city of Tibet called Lhasa. She did her schoolings from Tibetan Home School, Mussoorie where she always scored in first division upon studying smartly. As an exemption student she was appointed as a class monitor, house captain and school captain. Later on she pursued her career in Nursing from Manipal College of Nursing.

She gained a lot of experiences by working in various reputed hospitals like Manipal, Apollo, and Saviour. She has also worked in Tibetan patient care trust, Delhi. She had the privilege to serve as a Counsellor in Safe Space Project for 2 years which was a new program jointly initiated by Tibetan Women’s Association and Women’s Empowerment Program, CTA to prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence (SBGV) in our community. Currently she serves as a General Secretary of Tibetan Women’s Association.

Lhamo Chonzom | Joint Secretary

Lhamo Chonzom was born and brought up in India and she did  her schooling from Upper TCV till Xth standard and XII standard from TCV Gopalpur. She has completed Bachelor degree from Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College and Bachelor of Education from Al-Amin College of Education. She has served in the Document Classification Section under Kashag Secretariat for a year in 2016. She studied in Sarah (College for higher Tibetan studies) and completed 10 months pre-service training in 2017. She also served in Lower T.C.V School and in Sambhota Tibetan School Mundgod as a Social and an English Teacher in ( TGT) post. Now serving as a joint secretary and she feels very much privileged and honoured to work in this association.
