World Earth Day – End Plastic Pollution

World Earth day is celebrated annually on 22nd April. It is a day, dedicated to provide information and inspiration needed to fundamentally change the human attitude and behavior about harmful impacts of our doings to the environment around us. “End Plastic Pollution” is the theme of the day and thus, we must know that the plastic pollution is poisonous to our oceans, rivers and land, injuring marine life and affecting our health.

Hence, one day prior to Earth Day, Tibetan Women’s Association is pleased to join this significant Clean Up at illegal dumpsite around TIPA road along with Clean Upper Dharamsala and Lha Charitable Trust. We jointly collected around 60 bags of plastics and other trashes to beat the plastic pollution around the locality. It was such a serviceable moment and we would like to request everyone to end the “single used plastic” which will definitely cost us a lot in the near future.

“MAKE A PLEDGE TO REDUCE USING PLASTIC AND BE THE CHANGE”
