60th Tibetan National Women’s Uprising Day

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Tibetan Women’s Association both central and Regional commemorated the 60 years of Tibetan National Women’s Uprising Day by arranging an official function at Tibetan Martyrs Pillar, Mcleod ganj with the presence of Chief guest Mrs. Dolma Tsering la, Member of parliament, Tibetan Parliament In exile, Special Guest Mrs. Rinchen Khando Choegyal La, Former Director of Tibetan Nuns Project, Ms. Rajni Vyas, Former Mayor of Dharamsala Corporation and Representatives from Tibetan NGOs in Dharamsala.
A photo and art exhibition of the 60 years of Tibetan struggle in exile and brutal torture faced by Tibetan Women Prisoners in Tibet was also displayed at Tibetan Martyr Pillar.

The function was followed by the Peaceful March from Dalai lama temple to Kacheri to aware world about what happened on 12th March, 1959 and remember thousands of brave Tibetan Women such as Gurteng Kunsang who protested in front of Potala Palace on 12th March, 1959 to demand Chinese invaders to leave Tibet and gave up their precious lives for the cause of Tibet and its People.

We,the younger generation should strive to fulfill their dream of freedom for people of Tibet.
