The Women Empowerment Desk (WED) under CTA in collaboration with the Central Tibetan Women’s Association (TWA) has initiated and set up a women Helpline service.
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Women Empowerment Desk (WED) under CTA in collaboration with the Central Tibetan Women’s Association (TWA) has initiated and set up a women Helpline service with the intent to provide immediate and emergency/non-emergency responses and information services to women, children or person affected by violence especially SGBV, both in public and private spaces through referral by linking them with appropriate authorities such as police, hospital, and legal, etc from a uniform number. The helpline number is 01892220120. It operates from 10:00am to 6:00pm,Monday-Friday.
Since this is a pilot program, at the initial stage we have planned to cover Tibetan communities in the state of Himachal Pradesh only.
Women of all ages, irrespective of one’s background with any cases of gender-based violence are welcome to make use of the service provided by the Desk.

The Executive members of Tibetan Women’s Association, Central from Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, are on a tour of India from second week of December to end of January, 2019
Dharamsala: The Executive members of Tibetan Women’s Association, Central from Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, are on a tour of India from second week of December to end of January, 2019 and will approach honorable Ministers and Leaders of Central and State Governments and Tibet Support Groups of India with the “APPEAL” to support the cause of Tibet and safeguard the Human Rights of the Tibetans in Tibet.
We would be submitting them a Brochure containing a brief description of the present situation in Tibet and our “Appeal” for their kind attention and action.
The contents of the Brochure:-
1. Human Rights Violation in Tibet.
2. The Missing 11th Panchen Lama of Tibet and
3. The Present situation of Tibet’s Environment.
