Donald H. Don Andrus, 79, of Springfield, passed away September 12, 2021 at Springfield Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday in the church with burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. He loved his country, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, U.S. Air Force during Korea and as a reservist for 21 years. He was born on April 8, 1920 in North Hampton, OH, the son of James C. and Emma (Zerkle) Fuller. Funeral services will be held in Hazard, Kentucky with burial to follow at Nobel & Fugate Cemetery. He had a love of open wheel racing and enjoyed his family and their many visits to spend time with him at Friends. He also enjoyed reading, music, antiquing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his parents, his wife; Lisa Anne (Rawlins) Pennington, one son; Jeffrey Allen (Mariana) Pennington Jr., siblings; Jamie Pennington, Tracey (Sam) Thackery, Cristi Pennington and Joey Pennington, numerous nieces and nephews, best friends; Paul Moore, Chris Hensley, Chip Truitt, Jerry Capers, and Jason Pace, and second mom; Karen McFarland.
