Wangmo | Women Empowerment and Development Officer 

Wangmo was born in Amdo, Tibet. She came to India with her uncle in 1999 at the age of six. She studied in TCV Gopalpur from class 1 to 12. She holds her bachelor’s degree in English, Sociology and Psychology from Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore and has completed an internship at Asha Niketan Handicapped Center (mentally challenged people).

She studied at College for Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarah for the 10 months pre-service training from 3rd July 2018 to 30th April 2019. Now serving as the Women Environment and Development officer she feels that it would be a huge privilege for her to be able to serve in a Tibetan community that too a Women’s organization where she would be able to showcase her ability further in this organization in the field of environment.

Tenzin Yingsel | Project Officer

Born and raised in the Land of Enchantment, Dharamshala. Tenzin Yingsel is a Dynamic Worker. She completed her schooling from Upper T.C.V School following which she travelled to Mysore to pursue her Bachelor of Science Degree from All India Institute of Speech Hearing.

With more than 3 years of experience in therapy line as a speech therapist turned Project Office, she has developed a unique perspective when it comes to serving our community. She is highly motivated individual driven for the cause of Women’s Empowerment. She feels honoured to be working as a Project Officer in TWA and will commit to serve our community through non-profit work, community organizing and empowerment of women.

Tenzing Woser | Accountant

Tenzing Woser was born and brought up in Shillong, North east India. She has done her schooling from Lower TCV School, Dharamsala till 10th class and +2 from Upper TCV School, Dharamsala. She pursued both and from St. Joseph’s college of commerce, Bangalore. During her school times, she took part in various activities such as cultural shows, and actively participated in the college basketball team.

She worked as an Accountancy teacher at Tcv School, Bylakuppe for 6 months. Then, she joined TWA Central on 1st April, 2022 as Accountant. She feels grateful and happy to be part of the Tibetan Women’s Association and will do her best to make TWA a successful one.

Tenzin Tsomo | Research & Media Officer

Tenzin Tsomo was born and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. She attended her 10th class in English secondary school at Manjughoksha Academy (MGA) and 12th class from the CBSC Board of RAI School. She then completed her bachelor's & master's in Psychology from MKP Girls College in Dehradun. During her college years, she joined various psychology workshops and theatres. After her studies, she worked as an associate at the front desk of Ananda in the Himalayas Hotel in 2019 and as a massage therapist after gaining a month of course in LHA Charitable Trust in 2021.

At present, she works as a Research & Media for Central TWA. She feels honored to serve in a highly reputed non-profit association, and she is very grateful for the opportunity in contributing to the Tibetan society.

Choedon | Counsellor

Choedon was born in Tibet and came to India when she was 6 years old. She did her schooling from Upper TCV till Xth standard and T.C.V Gopalpur for her XIth and XIIth standard education. She did her Bachelor in political science,sociology Honors and psychology with Advanced Diploma in Guidance and Counselling from Post Graduate Government College for Girls sector 11 chandigarh(PGGCG-11) and recently in 2020 she completed her Masters in Social work (MSW) from Panjab University Chandigarh.

During her 2 years of master’s degree, she did an internship in a different institution like, Women’s Empowerment Desk (WED),CTA, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU)
Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Chandigarh Government, Centre for Community Economic and Development Consultants Society (CECODECAN) Jaipur, Rajasthan, School of Public Health (PGI) Chandigarh and Global Peace Foundation, Nepal (GPF Nepal) also able to provide volunteer service as a vice president Regional Tibetan Youth congress Chandigarh (RTYC) where she gained lot of experiences. She joined as the Safe Space Project’s Counsellor on 16th June 2021. The Safe Space
Program is a new program jointly initiated by Tibetan Women’s Association and Women’s Empowerment Program, CTA to prevent and respond to sexual and gender- Based violence (SBGV) in our community.

Samkar Dolma | Helpline Desk Officer

Samkar Dolma in her personal journey, she has moved from her home town Ladakh; easy on the eye yet remote place to pursue her higher secondary school in T.C.V Gopalpur School, Himachal Pradesh. Thenceforward she decided to have her career in B.A program as political Science in Vadodara University, Gujarat. Following she achieved her  Master in International Relation at the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi which is a world of its own that houses the best minds of India and representative from other countries. She is an exceedingly focused and out of the box thinker who wants to employ her knowledge for our greater community.


As of now she is working persistently as the Helpline Desk for the Safe Space Program 2019 from 21st June 2019. The Safe Space Program is a new program jointly initiated by Tibetan Women’s Association and Women’s Empowerment Program, CTA to prevent and respond to sexual and gender-based violence (SBGV) in our community.
