Global Week of Action, an annual week-long event (30th January- 5th February 2023)
On 30th January,
On the first day of Global Week of Action 2023, the Central Tibetan Women’s Association, stood firmly against Thermo Fisher Scientific for contributing against the law of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for supplying DNA kits and equipment used for genetic surveillance to the People’s Republic of China (PRC) from the Tibetans and Uyghurs without their consent. The association is concerned with such continued act of oppression which violates human law and moral values, urging the world leaders to support and take action now to end the extreme abuses and dictatorship of the PRC.

On 31st January 2023,
The Central TWA’s Project officer, Ms. Tenzin Yingsel, and Accountant, Ms. Tenzing Woser attempted the 2nd day of Global Week of Action by walking around Mcleodganj and requesting the local people for their support through the concept of a handprint. Thanks to the localities for their patience and righteousness, the members received substantial support and agreement, allowing them to accomplish their goals.
Later that day, several Tibetan influencers and residential people demonstrated via video recorder voicing out the these issues.

1st February 2023,
On the 3rd day of Global Week of Action, Central TWA conducted a Photo Exhibition at Mcleod Square around 11 am, to showcase the constant disturbing issues related to the
Thermo Fisher Scientific DNA kits, and the vast Colonial Boarding schools system, that is threatening Tibetans existence attributed to the sinister move by the Xi Jinping’s Campaign. A huge shout-out to all the media and the locals for being part of the freedom of movement.
