United Nations COP 27 in 2022

Four Tibetan Women delegations from the Tibet Climate Crisis coalition participated in the COP27 in Egypt. The coalition is made of the following groups Tibet Policy Institute, International Tibet Network, Tibet Watch, Students for a Free Tibet, and Tibet Justice Center. The Tibetan delegation attended the COP27 conference with a demand that world leaders and policymakers acknowledge Tibet’s ecological significance, include Tibetan experts in discussions, and adopt a rights-based strategy that gives frontline communities power and participation. Tibet’s climate must be a major part of the global climate discussion.
