Celebrating World Water Day

On March 22nd, we celebrated World Water Day and presented the importance of fresh water, with a special focus on the Rivers of Tibet, which flows from Tibet to major downstream nations.
Tibet, known as the ‘Roof of the World’ is the largest and highest plateau on the earth. Tibet is vast, with glaciers and mighty rivers. They hold the largest sources of fresh water and contain the most glaciers, also known as the ‘Third Pole’ after Artic and Antarctica. The Tibetan plateau is home to approximately 1.2 billion people worldwide.
22 मार्च को, हमने विश्व जल दिवस मनाया और तिब्बत नदी पर विशेष ध्यान देते हुए ताजे पानी के महत्व को प्रस्तुत किया, जो तिब्बत से प्रमुख डाउनस्ट्रीम देशों में बहती है। तिब्बत, जिसे ‘दुनिया की छत’ के रूप में जाना जाता है, पृथ्वी पर सबसे बड़ा और सबसे ऊंचा पठार है। तिब्बत विशाल है, जिसमें ग्लेशियर और शक्तिशाली नदियाँ हैं। उनके पास ताजे पानी के सबसे बड़े स्रोत हैं और उनमें सबसे अधिक ग्लेशियर हैं, जिन्हें आर्कटिक और अंटार्कटिका के बाद ‘तीसरा ध्रुव’ कहा जाता है। तिब्बती पठार दुनिया भर में लगभग 1.2 बिलियन लोगों का घर है।
