62nd Tibetan National Women’s Uprising Day
TWA central along with RTWA Dharamsala commemorated the 62nd Tibetan National Women’s Uprising Day at parking lot near Tsuklakhang. An official program took place with the presence of Chief Guest advisor Lhajam Rinchen Khando, special guest gyeweshe nyen Geshema Tenzin Kunsel, Chitue Dolma Tsering.
The function was followed by the Peaceful March from Dalai lama temple to kacheri to aware world and the community about the importance of the day (12th March, 1959) and remember those thousands of brave Tibetan Women such as Gurteng Kunsang who protested and sacrificed their life for Tibet’s Struggle.
